“Do Not Try Another Cryptocurrency Until You [fill in blank] -Is Litecoin A Good Investment”

Like any other asset, the principle of buy low and sell high applies to bitcoins. The most popular way of amassing the currency is through buying on a Bitcoin exchange, but there are many other ways to earn and own bitcoins. Here are a few options which Bitcoin enthusiasts can explore.

While Bitcoin is currently receiving most of the public’s attention, it has no underlining business model that drives it. Moreover, as the price of Bitcoin rises, so does the mining difficulty and therefore the reward miners receive. This means that it will take longer and become more expensive to make transactions using Bitcoin as the price rises, which makes it an unreliable asset.

The author, Matthew Beck, an associate at Grayscale, uses some financial modeling to project that one Zcash token could be worth more than $60,000 in 2025, up from just under $400 today. That’s roughly a 150-fold increase.

There are also servers that function to use the features such as private send, instant send and also the governance system that all work to ensure privacy and anonymity. With 1000 dash coins, anyone from any part of the world can also create their own transactions to flow between peers with low transaction fees overall.

The price of Bitcoin rose over 1000 percent in 2017, meaning every $1 invested turned into $1000 in just 12 months. Bitcoin isn’t done yet, and other cryptocurrencies are now seeing similarly rapid growth. This bundle helps you make the most of this remarkable trend, even with a small initial investment. Through concise video lessons, you learn about the underlying blockchain technology and how to purchase your first coins.

NEW YORK, Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Grayscale Investments, LLC, in its role as agent (the “Agent”) of the shareholders of record (the “Record Date Shareholders”) of the Bitcoin Investment Trust (OTCQX: GBTC) (the “Trust”) as of November 6, 2017, announced that it has today completed the liquidation of approximately 172,501 Bitcoin Cash tokens distributed to it as Agent on November 6, 2017.

Let’s also not forget that critics have blasted bitcoin at every turn. The most recent occurrence was when it first hit the $5,000 mark, only to drop briefly below $3,000. But rather than a cataclysmic drop, bitcoin is now chasing after $6,000! Keep doubting this gangsta at your own risk.

OPINION: One could argue that GBTC trades well above its NAV because it is trading based on future value. While this argument has some weight to it, especially considering it is the only Bitcoin stock on the market, the idea that future value justifies the premium isn’t a very compelling argument in my opinion. GLD doesn’t do this with gold to any great extent (generally speaking, if you want to trade the future price of gold, you trade gold futures and options, not a gold trust). In other words, you could argue GBTC’s current price reflects future prices but that alone, in my opinion, doesn’t justify the premium. Trading Bitcoin’s value today is risky enough, never-mind trading its future value. If you want to trade the future price of Bitcoin, you can trade Bitcoin futures.

So now that you’ve got somewhat of a grip on Bitcoin, Ethereum & Litecoin, you may want to do some speculation and invest in lesser known coins (altcoins).  In order to do that, we’re going to have to use a marketplace or exchange.  For this example, we’ll be using Bittrex — my favorite exchange.

The number of transactions on the Ethereum network is already significantly higher than those using the Bitcoin blockchain. As projects already using the platform continue to mature, and upcoming developments such as private Z-Snarks transactions open up the possibility of more new decentralized applications, this is likely to increase much further.

Even industry experts who believe that bitcoin is not a sustainable monetary unit think blockchain technology could radically change the way financial transactions are facilitated in the future. The benefits of this system are that it is transparent, secure, and streamlined, so that there are less parties involved in facilitating each and every transaction.

Try thinking of investing in bitcoins as you would buying a lottery ticket. It only costs a dollar, but you could win big. However, as historically shown with commodities, the odds are good that you’re going to lose money compared with a low-cost, diversified investment.

Three things Litecoin has going for it are 1) it as a well established network intended to streamline the consumer/merchant aspect of cryptocurrency  2) it has a faster and more efficient transaction times than the original Bitcoin and 3) it is undervalued relative to both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. At $350 Litecoin is trading at less than 15% of Bitcion Cash (hitting new all time highs as I write this) and less than 2% of Bitcoin which leaves quite a bit of meat on the bone. The only downside is that there are about 54.5 million Litecoins in existence, a number that could dilute value over the longer term.

The transactions made through Ethereum stands much higher companies to Bitcoin’s block chain. There are further developments in the pipeline such as private z snarks transactions that can accelerate new applications into the system.

Truly, even big corporations see Ripple as the future of money. Ripple is currently the 4th most funded blockchain startup of all time with investments from the likes of even Google Ventures[5]. NASDAQ even says that Ripple is a good investment, the second largest exchange in the world by market capitalization[6]. If all the big banks and players are in Ripple, it’s a good sign that you should be in it too!

With only several hundred people reporting their crypto gains each year since bitcoin’s launch, the IRS suspects that many crypto users have been evading taxes by not reporting crypto transactions on their tax returns.

There are many things to consider, when making these investments. But one thing is for sure, the cryptocurrency market can be confusing. Meaning you will be seeing overall unpredictability until the losers are pushed out or better systems of news and information is placed + actual products are produced.

So is it still a good time to invest in and learn about cryptocurrencies? The short answer is, yes. The fact of the matter is, cryptocurrencies are utterly dependent on the ever-changing whims of the market, meaning they’ll rise and fall based on how urgently the market believes in their investment. And while the dips can cause bit of a panic, Bitcoin’s performance speaks for itself: it’s outdone any asset or stock you might have otherwise invested in.

For now you can search some good ico and you are willing to hold it untill 3 years. Look at quantum1net project. It is looked interesting for holding it untill 3 years.
